Bankruptcy Stress on MarriageAccording to an article in the Star-Telegram, job losses may take an extra toll on those who are married as opposed to their single counterparts.

The article said:

“Unemployed husbands and wives reported experiencing stress more often than single job seekers, 81 percent to 51 percent respectively, according to a recent survey.”

The survey also found that more than one-third of unemployed people reported stress related symptoms included anxiety, insomnia and high blood pressure as a result of a job loss. The highest amounts of reported stress were found in those aged 35 to 44 years old. And two out of three of the respondents reported that stress caused by unemployment spilled over into other parts of their lives.
