But Divins never made good on her promises, even after taken more than $100,000 from homeowners she never helped any of them avoid foreclosure. A matter of fact, Divins allegedly continued her foreclosure scam even after the U.S. Bankruptcy Court sanctioned her for misrepresentation. Divins was convicted on seven counts each of criminal contempt and mail fraud. She could face up to 140 years in prison.
